Essential Standards for Education

After listening to a really great webinar from FETC, here is something I think is an excellent guide for any education:


Attributes of Essential Standards (guaranteed curriculum)

• Endurance - will this provide students with knowledge and skills that will be valued beyond a single test date?
• Leverage - will this provide knowledge and skills that will be of value in multiple disciplines?
• Readiness - will this provide students with essential knowledge and skills that are necessary for success in the next grade?
